The Wheeler Benefit Foundation recognizes that in order to have a healthy and growing business, the communities we serve need to be healthy and sustainable as well. We are committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where we do business. Our Community Investment Priorities reflect the local nature of our business and focuses on those where the foundation can make a unique and sustainable difference: education, assistance to women and children in distressed situations, providing opportunities for those less fortunate, promoting an active healthy lifestyle, community recycling, water stewardship, and honoring those who have and do serve our country.
We accept applications for contributions, fundraising dinners, and community sponsorships year-round that fit within these priorities.
Those proposals meeting the specific guidelines below will be considered for funding.
Community Support Application Guidelines: These must be provided along with the application.
Governing Documents include charters, bylaws, and articles of incorporation, statutes, or other documents that explain your organization’s establishment, objectives, and structure.
Specific Amount of Grant or Contribution seeking for programs, operating support or defined community projects.
Community Sponsorships Requests– civic and community activities that are underwritten to raise money for nonprofit organizations or other charitable causes. Events may include benefit dinners, galas, breakfast, luncheons, and other activities.
The Foundation does not fund:
• Organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS
• Private Foundations
• Religious or Political Causes
• Organizations whose missions fall outside our Investment Priorities.
